Dr. Rupp completed her undergraduate education at the Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) in 1992.  She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997.  Upon graduation she worked for approximately 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry caring for the medical needs of production and test animals.

It was during this time that she explored the use of acupuncture as a way to help improve the quality of life for animals under her charge.  In 2003, she attended the IVAS course in veterinary acupuncture.  In 2009, Dr. Rupp attended the CRI course in veterinary rehabilitative medicine.  In 2011 and 2012, she achieved her Reiki Level I, II and III certifications.

Dr. Rupp lives with her husband Peter, daughter Emily, a Rhodesian Ridgeback (Bella), 2 cats (Max and Baxter), and several Koi, frogs and goldfish.  Her interests are special needs advocacy, education, therapeutic horseback riding, stained glass, travel, reading and all things Penn State.
